Having received the TOV grant to set up a “trading online” website, Hugh Walsh chose Go2web as his website design partner. This was the first website for the business, and a lot of time was spent assembling product content, so an ecommerce website could be successfully set up.

Two years on, with 175 products on the website, over 80 online orders have been placed (May 2023). The majority of Emerald Groundscare’s orders have come from outside Dublin, which was the company’s traditional sales area, thus allowing the business to expand significantly into new geographic areas.

Many promising enquiries for more expensive products, like Stump Grinders or other high-end Landscaping Machinery, have also been received over this time.

After the initial set-up period, Go2web trained Hugh Walsh on the WordPress theme used, so that he could manage his own content changes.

Go2web’s current role is to host and keep the website safe, and assist Hugh where new design work is needed on the website.
