Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet
The Irish Hotels Federation Skillnet was set up in May 2021, to facilitate the training of new and existing staff members in the country’s Hotels and Guesthouses in the post-COVID-19 environment.
As part of the start-up process, Project Manager Dervla O’Neill asked a Marketing friend of hers to recommend competent website design companies to get the Skillnet online, and Dervla then selected Go2web as the IHF Skillnet’s website partner.
Although Dervla had a competency of her own on the WordPress software platform, she was fully engaged setting up and managing the Skillnet’s training courses. She needed active input by the website provider in getting the courses online, setting up Stripe payments, posting News items and so on.
Go2web provided that service, and continues to do so, 2 years on.
The majority of the Skillnet’s training courses are bookable online, and to date (May 2023), over 600 course bookings have been processed and paid for through the website’s eCommerce system and Stripe payments facility.
As well as managing the hosting and security of the website, Go2web provides a same-day content updating service to the Skillnet, allowing Dervla to concentrate on course set-up and management.
